The three-story building, which was once a pub, was mainly stripped back to brick as large deflection in the existing floors needed investigating. Structural remediation on the building included back-propping the third floor down to basement level; installing steel column supports; replacement of failed timber lintels throughout the building. A rotten timber floor was also replaced with a ground bearing reinforced concrete slab with powerfloat finish.
The 400m² refurbishment consisted of 10 flats for the Assisted Living Sector; the ground floor was developed as a learning centre.
